Zena Walsh Pearlson
Joyous Sorrow Grief Recovery Bio:
Zena is the founder of Joyous Sorrow Grief Recovery. A Certified Advanced Grief Recovery
Specialist, grief coach and with a degree in Psychology, she supports individuals as they
navigate their own healing journeys with compassion and intention.
Her work emerged from navigating grief in her own life. Following the death of her spouse and
the loss of her father, Zena was called to help others move through the complexities of grief in a
meaningful and supported way.
She creates space for both sorrow and joy to coexist, recognizing that grief is not something to
“get over,” but something to be gently and actively worked through. Her approach blends a
structured, hands-on methodology with deep empathy, offering a path forward that honours both
love and loss.
Through her one-on-one 7-week Grief Recovery Method program and women’s healing circles,
Zena guides individuals in moving beyond pain, unresolved emotions, and the isolation that
often accompanies loss.
Passionate about changing the conversation around grief, Zena is committed to creating spaces
where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to heal. She believes healing doesn’t
mean letting go, it means making space for both love and loss to coexist.
