About Jamie ~
When asked the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” as a kid I never blinked and confidently answered, “A teacher.” I have always been passionate about helping others. That childhood goal remained steadfast, and I taught in elementary schools for twelve years in four states. I loved my students and learned more than I ever could have imagined not only about kids but about the complexities of human development, human psychology, relationships, family systems, and the human journey that we all take in some way in transitioning from child to adult.
After serving a dozen years as a public school professional, a serendipitous turn led me to the incredible world of life coaching. Training as a coach provided a pivot point that launched me on a transformational journey that continues to open up new spaces through new relationships. Still and always a teacher at heart, I am now a published author and a professionally credentialed life coach.
In these roles of teacher, writer, and coach—and of course as spouse, parent, and most importantly child of God—I cultivate intentional spaces where I equip others to be inspired, encouraged, and empowered in their contexts. By exploring and considering what it takes to develop and nurture growth mindsets, people take ownership of their lives and create action steps that lead to being bold and healthy “second-half-life-livers.”

Testimonials
“Duprey's delightful memoir is a nostalgic look into small town sports. Her honest, engaging, and often humorous voice takes the reader on a moving, exuberant, light-hearted adolescent journey. Anyone who recalls and cherishes “small town” life, athletics, love, and friendship should greatly enjoy this book!”Alan K Simpson, US Senator, WYO (Retired) 1979 - 1997
“In the great tradition of diaries translated to books, Jamie Duprey’s “The Yellow Sports Bra” is not only a vicarious thrill for those in love with small-town basketball and small-town life, but also a deep reminder of what these fast-disappearing cultures have to offer the world at large: a sense of community, faith, courage, interdependence, and strength in numbers. You will love it as I did.”Phil Aaberg, Grammy Nominee, Composer of the score for “Class C: The Only Game in Town,” and former Chester Coyote basketball forward
