    Susan Marshall

    Susan A. Marshall is an author, public speaker, and leadership advisor whose professional experience spans four decades and a global geography.  She has worked with leaders in the public and private sector, non-profit agencies, and public education advocating for improved competence, confidence and effective risk-taking.

     

    Her experience includes leading a turnaround of failing privately held marketing division, serving as an adjunct faculty member for University of Michigan Professor Noel Tichy's Global Leadership Institute and a primary facilitator for the New York City Leadership Academy upon its inception in 2003, writing the curriculum for a graduate level Leadership course for Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI and teaching the class for four years.

     

    Susan is the author of four books and hundreds of articles.  She was a columnist for Wisconsin Woman magazine for eight years and a frequent contributor to Biz Times Milwaukee.  She has been privileged to be a guest-lecturer at colleges and universities across the Midwest.

     

    Locally, Susan is a member of Waukesha County Business Alliance Policy Board, a Board member for Ixonia Bank, The Initiative to End Alzheimer’s Board of Visitors, and former chair of a CEO roundtable.  She serves as a Commissioner for the Western Lakes Fire District.  In 2019, Susan was honored with the Don Richards Leadership Award, bestowed by the Milwaukee Business Journal to inspire and motivate businesspeople to take community leadership roles.

     

    In March 2021, Susan launched Compassion Chats to bring Alzheimer’s and dementia care providers to the caregiver community in an effort to dispel the loneliness and helplessness that often accompanies this caregiving journey.  Her guests have included physicians, psychiatrists, researchers, real estate agents, patient advocates, dementia care specialists daily money managers, and an assortment of related senior services providers.  The work has been represented as Zoom Video Chats and also as a podcast.
