Kim Burditt Bartlett

Kim Burditt Bartlett, MSW, knows firsthand the heartbreak of suicide loss. In 2010, her younger brother, US Marine Corps veteran Jon Hoffman, died by suicide, changing her life forever. Since then, Kim has devoted her career to supporting grieving families and advancing suicide prevention.

She has spent over a decade creating trauma-informed programs, events, and resources for survivors, and today serves as Senior Manager of Family Engagement for the Black Box Project at Stop Soldier Suicide, a groundbreaking initiative using digital data to better understand and prevent suicide.

A New England native with a tucked-away Boston accent, Kim brings warmth, honesty, and humor to her work. She’s also an online grief group facilitator, big-dog enthusiast, and tattoo lover. And while not an adrenaline junkie, she once jumped out of a plane at 14,000 feet (and says she’d do it again).
