Don Simmons
Don Reed Simmons is a mystic, shamanic practitioner, sound therapy pioneer, numerologist, and meditation teacher whose life’s work explores the evolution of kindness, compassion, and peace.
Raised on a farm in small-town Mississippi, Don developed an early connection to the healing power of sound and nature. After years in radio and a long career in film production in New York and Los Angeles, his path shifted toward guiding personal transformation. A near-death experience while scuba diving in Hawaii, later recognized by a shamanic teacher as a rite of passage, helped awaken his deeper calling.
Since then, Don has worked with thousands of people around the world—from artists and executives to physicians and everyday seekers—helping them reconnect with meaning, purpose, and joy through sound, intuition, and spiritual practice. As an 11 LifePath numerologist, he views life as a journey of alignment, where true fulfillment emerges when we trust the unseen and live in harmony with our spiritual design.
A longtime leader in the global sound therapy movement, Don served for many years as President of the International Sound Therapy Association, mentoring practitioners and bringing sacred sound into hospitals, hospice centers, and healing communities. A lifelong meditator who has studied with Thich Nhat Hanh and Jon Kabat-Zinn, his “One-Minute Meditation” has reached more than two million listeners worldwide.
Today, Don teaches and speaks about joy as something we uncover—not chase—through awareness, vibration, and a return to the sacred intelligence within us. His upcoming book, Live Your LifePath, invites readers to step into that joyful flow with clarity, purpose, and alignment.
When not traveling, Simmons lives on a boat in the Sarasota, FL area.
