Craig Bingham

Craig Bingham serves as Programs Director for the Greater Arkansas River Nature Association (GARNA), a nature-centered, community-driven nonprofit based in Salida, Colorado, dedicated to fostering stewardship of the Upper Arkansas River region through education, volunteerism, and experiential learning Greater Arkansas River Nature Association+1.

Role and Responsibilities

As Programs Director, Craig oversees GARNA’s community education and engagement programming in Chaffee County and the Upper Arkansas River Valley Southern Colorado Community Foundation. This includes:

Year-round environmental education such as hiking and birding clubs, “Ski with a Naturalist” outings, environmental film events, natural history workshops, and volunteer stewardship days Southern Colorado Community Foundation.

Public land stewardship initiatives in partnership with agencies like Envision Chaffee County, including the Rec Adopters program ArcGIS StoryMaps.

Youth and public lands programs, including the Youth Ecological Literacy Program, which provides place- and nature-based learning on public lands ArcGIS StoryMaps.
