Through her work with the Global Health Institute Initiative, AIDS organizations, the Clinton Global Initiative University and the United Nation’s Youth Assembly, Kate Otto has come to see first hand how in our technology-addicted world, even though we are connective more than ever before, our ability to meaningfully interact with one another is decreasing at a rapid rate. So she is sounding the alarm. And she is also giving a solution.

In her book, Everyday Ambassador: Make a Difference by Connecting in a Disconnected World, Kate details how we can actively work to hold onto our social and community skills as we continue to live in the digital age by practicing four core values: empathy, patience, focus, and humility. Through examples and exercises, Kate shows how these four values can bring us together, even when technology may try to force us apart. The book’s main goal? To inspire people to connect, to make a difference, and to act in service to create positive change every day, everywhere, with everyone.
