My mentoring experience the past 2 months with Mark has proven to be most effective in my professional development. I wanted to grow as an individual, team member, and a leader. He did just that for me. My favorite part about all of my time spent with Mark is I never felt judged and he was always attentive in what I was saying and what I needed help on. It takes someone with great patience and persistence to do what he does but he is naturally a helper and wants whats best for his clients. I hired Mark because I was at a transition point in my life and didn't really know how to progress through it. I had felt stuck for years. My initial goal was to leave my current job as a Sr. Art Director in an ad agency in Chicago and pursue my growing career, ambition, and love of fine art painting. Mark helped me through my mental struggle of jumping ship from a secure job to following my passion. He helped me realize what I truly valued in my life and why it was so difficult for me to leave that security. I always thought it was because I was too afraid of the unknown, but Mark helped me realize it was because I was holding onto something that was also important to me: the ability to financially support my family. It was no longer about leaving one job for another, but making it so I could find a way to support my family and still follow my passion. This wasn't easy for me, but Mark's kind and gentle approach made the process smoother. I still had to do the work of getting into the studio, doing quality work at my job, doing the assigned homework and being aware when how what we discussed came up in my real life situations. Mark helped me in so many ways. He challenged my thoughts and beliefs so I could see where I was holding myself back. We talked through things that had happened so I could find a new way to look at it and continue to move forward. He helped me realize what I value and how to go about having that on a daily basis. Mark does not tell you what to do—even when I was wanting him to. He cares about you and makes sure you are going after what truly matters to you at your core. Not what you think you want, or what your friends and family think you want, or what society says you should want. He always brings it back to what you value so you stay on your course. This frees you to be the person you've always wanted to be so you are more at peace and a better person in all areas of your life.

Mark is a passionate, highly articulate coach and an incredibly good listener. Over the course of our 12 sessions, Mark has helped me to turn what previously would have been stressful situations into opportunities to learn and grow. Mark has done a solid job helping me during a difficult transition period of my career. His strength has been in evaluating the historical information I have disclosed, then helping me to identify both positive and negative patterns.
