Keeper Catran-Whitney
Keeper Catran-Whitney is the author of Helplessness, the first book in a three-part memoir series (the next two books to come) that explores the emotional and mental health challenges brothers experience when they learn their sisters have been sexually abused in the family. Keeper wrote Helplessness from his own lived experience — both as someone who was sexually abused as a child and as a brother carrying decades of guilt, silence, and trauma after discovering what happened to his siblings. He created this book to give voice to a perspective he says has long been overlooked, to let other men and brothers know they are not alone in their pain, and to open space for conversation and healing. Keeper also hosts the companion podcast This Is For The Brothers, where he continues to explore these themes. He lives in Southern California with his family and speaks publicly on trauma, healing, and brotherhood.
