Amy Hunter

Dr. Amy Hunter is a prominent racial justice activist and executive known for her work in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). She is currently the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at a global footwear company headquartered in St. Louis. She gained widespread recognition for her viral TEDx Talk presentation entitled "Lucky Zip Codes," which explores how geographical location determines access to resources and opportunities. Before this, she led global DEI initiatives for Boeing Defense, Space & Security and previously to that, served as the manager of DEI for St. Louis Children’s Hospital. 

In her role as a Community Activist, Amy served as the Director of Racial Justice for the YWCA Metro of St. Louis, where she gained prominence for starting "The Talk," a public conversation series following the 2014 protests in Ferguson. In her Civic Engagement role, Amy is active in local governance and philanthropy, serving on boards such as the United Way of Greater St. Louis and the Missouri Historical Society. Amy holds a bachelor's degree and a PhD focusing on Social Justice from the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL).
