Self-sabotaging behavior occurs when it creates problems in our daily lives and interferes with achieving our goals.  Self-sabotage frequently shows up in reaching weight loss goals and can include procrastination and comfort eating.

People aren't always aware that they are sabotaging themselves. Connecting the behavior to the common scenarios and influencers is a good way to shine a light on this limiting mindset. It is possible to overcome almost any form of self-sabotage.

There are three scenarios of self-sabotaging behavior and two directions which may influence our tendencies toward engaging in unhealthy and self-destructive actions.
