National Drug Epidemic Still Plagued by Stigma Continues to Create Barriers of Hope and Help with Brittany Ringersen

In 2017, the Opioid Crisis was declared by the President as a Health Emergency, yet little to no benefits of this declaration have been felt by those most in need. Due to lack of funding, lack of resources and communities standing behind the phrase, “Not in my Back Yard” it is unclear when the tide will turn for individuals and families in dire need of support such as access to recovery resources and stable housing.
